M25 crash: Traffic tails back after crash near Clacket Lane Services

All lanes are now open after a crash on the M25 this morning left a man in hospital.

The accident happened at 7.20am on the clockwise carriageway just before Clacket Lane Services when a car left the road and went into a ditch.

At 10.33am lane one was closed to allow for the safe recovery of the vehicle and this has since been lifted.

It is not yet known whether the man was seriously injured.

Queues stretched back to J4 for the A21 and Orpington, but congestion has now cleared

At one point, it was taking drivers around 30 minutes to get through the delays, which were exacerbated by a broken down lorry blocking a lane at J5 for Redhill.

This has since been towed clear and all lanes are open.
