Westerham: Suspect charged after computer tablet stolen in Brasted break-in

A burglary suspect has been charged and remanded in custody over a break-in alleged to have taken place in Brasted, Westerham.

A computer tablet was reported to have been stolen from a property in Brasted Road on April 8, after a window was smashed to gain entry.

Alfred Smith, aged 35 and of no fixed address, was arrested on Tuesday and subsequently charged with burglary.

He is further charged with an offence of vehicle interference, after a Fiat motorhome, parked in Wellingtonia Way, Edenbridge, was reportedly broken into between April 3 and 4.

Mr Smith is remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
