Eatnmess cakes hope to open first store in Sevenoaks after creating Kickstarter campaign

A Sevenoaks woman hopes for backing as she edges closer to turning a dream into reality - by opening her very own cake shop.

Danielle Rumbelow's first taste of the business world was at a small stall in Greenwich Market, where she sold only seven varieties of cakes.

Now she's planning to open her very own store in the town, but needs a bit of help to get her on the way.

'Eatnmess' cakes started two years ago, after Danielle discovered she had an intolerance to gluten, and now she bakes for people who have the same problem.

The products she will sell are free from a variety of ingredients, focusing on creating gluten, wheat and dairy free goodies.

Danielle, who resides in Otford, has launched a Kickstarter campaign, which will help to finance the shop, and she needs to reach the £12,000 target in the next two weeks.

Ms Rumbelow is now a full-time baker, saying that it's the only way to get to where she wants to be, saying "you need to be dedicated to make something like this work, it's a full-time job."

The campaign went live on March 30, and the total currently sits at just over £3,000 - but the real icing on the cake would be if pledges could take her over the goal.By donating to the cause, you won't leave empty handed, as Danielle is promising to give something back to everyone who pledges to her, "the minimum donation is £15, but I don't want to just take from people, so for every pledge I receive I'll be giving something back. £15 gets you some cake, and the higher the donation the bigger the repayment."

Eatnmess cakes' most regular spot is now at Broadway Market in Hackney, and Danielle says that she won't be packing in her market stall if the shop does open, she commented "I won't be leaving my regulars, that's the whole point I started doing this, to get satisfaction from people who love the products - you can't abandon loyal customers."

The shop will offer bespoke cakes for special occasions, along with novelty cakes upon request.

Should the Kickstarter page not reach the goal needed, Danielle will be unable to finance the shop of her dreams, which she hopes to open opposite the Marks and Spencer on London Road, Sevenoaks, in June.

The project won't be launched unless the pledges reach £12,000 by April 29. To find out more about the cause, or to donate, click here.
