Edenbridge fire in Hartfield Road tackled by Kent crews

A pile of molten tyres had to be pulled apart as four fire crews tackled a barn fire.

Firefighters from Kent and West Sussex were called to Hartfield Road, Cowden, near Edenbridge, shortly after 5pm yesterday.

Crews used water from a nearby hydrant to help extinguish the fire and it was put out by 8.30pm.

Firefighters worked to pull the molten tyres apart to dampen down any remaining hotspots. There were no reported injuries and the cause is not known.
