Appeal to find witnesses after ‘dangerous driving’ in Rye Lane, Otford

Witnesses are being sought after a man allegedly drove into a car a number of times.

The incident happened between 5pm and 7pm on Sunday, July 16, in Rye Lane, Otford.

A woman was driving a red Fiat 500 towards Pilgrims Way West, when a man in a grey Peugeot 208 allegedly collided with her car a number of times.

It is understood the suspect and the victim were known to each other.

On Wednesday, July 19, a 20-year-old man from Kemsing was arrested in connection with the incident.

He was later bailed pending further investigation.

Police Sergeant Natalie Waller, of the Victim Based Crime Team, said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident and has not yet spoken to the police to contact our appeal line.

“Drivers with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for relevant footage.”
