This beautiful scene was captured just in time before we all slip into the freezing depths of winter.

It was taken by Ian Warner-Loscombe who is a member of the Sheppey Digital Photography Club. He won first place in the group’s competition which this time around was all about autumn landscapes.

The group will hold its annual general meeting on January 14 where next year’s chairman, secretary and treasurer will be elected. From that point, the club will run from its new venue of Castle Connections, Railway Terrace, Queenborough.

Meetings are on the second Tuesday of every month, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Novice or experienced photographers are welcome and members are always on hand to give tips.
