South East Water repairing burst water main in Halfway Road

A burst water main has seen a major route in and out of Sheerness shut off this morning.

The A2500 Halfway Road near the junction with Lynsted Road, Halfway, was closed in both directions at 7am.

Southern Water is carrying out repairs and traffic into Sheerness is being diverted via Halfway and Minster.

Motorists are being told to expect delays as the closure is causing snarl ups in the surrounding areas.
