A man and boy were rescued after becoming stuck in mud.
Fire crews were called to land near Sheppey’s Kingsferry Bridge at 5.25pm yesterday.
The duo had got into trouble about 10 metres from the shore on the Iwade side of the Swale.
Firefighters used specialist mud paths to reach the pair, who were led back to the road.
There were no reported injuries.
