Sheppey fundraiser planned for cervical cancer victim Kirsty Bowry’s husband and daughter

A fundraiser will take place today in memory of a young mum who lost her battle with cancer.

Friends and family of Kirsty Bowry will get together at Bonds Sports and Social Club, New Road, Sheerness, from 7pm.

The 29-year-old, from Minster, died from an aggressive form of cervical cancer on Friday, May 9.

At the fundraiser, there will be a disco which everyone is invited to attend in school uniform fancy dress.

There will also be live music, a magic show, a school dinner and more. Tickets cost £10 and are available from Emily Rowland on 07801 424107 or Sam Safe on 07925 189448.

The money raised will go towards supporting Kirsty’s husband, Sheppey FC captain Russell Jeffrey, and daughter Paige, two.

More than £5,200 has already been raised.
