Actor Shaun Williamson, who played Barry in EastEnders, visits Sheppey United

There was a famous face among the fans celebrating Sheppey United's victory over Whitstable yesterday - actor Shaun Williamson.

Shaun, best known for playing Barry in EastEnders and his role alongside Ricky Gervais in Extras, said he had a great time at the Tiger Stadium and promised he would be back for another visit.

Shaun, who lives in Kent, added: "I am with a Sheppey girl so it's my first visit but it won't be my last." You can watch the full interview, by Andy Gray, below.

Shaun said he was also delighted to see the stand named after his friend, Nigel Prettyjohns.

Mr Prettyjohns, from Halfway in Sheppey, has motor neurone disease.

The stand in his name was opened at the start of the season and is designed for people with disabilities.
