Kent's youth tsar has quit ... just six days after her appointment was announced.

Paris Brown, 17, faced mounting pressure to resign after posting potentially offensive tweets.

She appeared at a press conference this afternoon, together with police commissioner Ann Barnes to make the statement.

Speaking to the packed Maidstone meeting, Mrs Barnes said it was a "sad day", and it "would have been impossible to find someone who had not made a foolish comment on social media."
