Materials taken from building site in Rushenden Court, Sheppey

Materials worth £4,000 were taken from a building site in Queenborough.

The equipment was taken from land where houses are being built at Rushenden Court near Rushenden Road.

It's thought the items were taken between 4.45pm and 5.15pm on Wednesday.

£4,000 worth of scaffolding was stolen.

Witnesses reported seeing men in high-visibility jackets and hard hats loading the scaffolding onto a vehicle shortly after workers had left for the day.

The haul taken included a large amount of scaffolding tubes, boards and clips. A ladder and two metal gates were also stolen.
