An investigation is underway into an alleged sexual offence.

Police arrested a 49-year-old man from East Sussex in the area of Marine Parade, Sheerness, yesterday morning.

He has been bailed until October 7 pending further inquiries.

Three police cars and a van were seen in a car park next to Seabreeze Caravan Park just after 8.30am. It is not yet clear where the crime is alleged to have taken place.
