Warden man denies threats to kill and possession of ammonia after dispute

A Warden man has denied threatening to kill someone and possession of ammonia following a dispute in the street.

Maidstone Magistrates’ Court heard Bill Taylor, of Cliff View Gardens, and two unknown men jumped out of a car in November last year as a man left his address in Queenborough.

The 27-year-old allegedly shouted “give me the ammonia” before being handed a Lucozade bottle containing a clear liquid.

He is then said to have walked towards his victim in a threatening manner and shouted: “I’m going to ******* kill you, wait till I get my hands on you.”

The substance in the bottle was tested after Taylor’s arrest and confirmed to be ammonia.

Mary Dinan, defending, said: “My client strenuously denies these allegations.”

He denied possessing a weapon, threats to kill and damaging the man’s bicycle.

He was released on unconditional bail to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, September 22.
