Lewis Fox accused of killing hamster by throwing it against wall in Minster

A man has pleaded guilty to killing a hamster.

Lewis Robert Fox, of Southsea Avenue in Minster, changed his plea to guilty after he was charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, assault by beating and engaging in controlling, coercive behaviour in a family or intimate relationship.

One charge relates to the death of a hamster by throwing it against a wall until it died.

The 22-year-old was due to appear before Medway magistrates on Friday for a trial but changed his plea.

He was released on conditional bail until today whilst a pre-sentence report is prepared.
