School children have had a visit from experts in how to help stop bullying.

The Isle of Sheppey Academy hosted two representatives from the Princess Diana Awards at its east site in Minster Road, Minster, on Tuesday last week.

Other schools from the Island, as well as Sittingbourne, Maidstone and Gillingham, went along to the session. Those who took part have become anti-bullying ambassadors.

The pupils were taught different ways of how to deal with bullying, such as setting up anti-bullying clubs and how to talk to their peers about the issue.

Teacher Paul Murray said they got good feedback from the other schools, adding: “I think the Princess Diana Awards people were very pleased.”
