Girl hit by car near the Co-Op in Queenborough

An 11-year-old girl has been hit by a car this evening near the Co-Op in Queenborough.

Emergency services were called just before 5.30pm to Main Road outside the convenience store near the junction with Stanley Avenue.

The road was closed while ambulance crews treated the injured girl.

She was taken to hospital suffering from injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.
