The money poured in for Children in Need at a tea and coffee sale.

Friday’s refreshment-led fundraiser took place at Hairy Monster Hair and Beauty Salon in Sheerness High Street.

Customer donations amounted to £60 and proved such a success the store’s owner, Amanda Williams, said a similar initiative is likely to be held next year.

She said: “We don’t normally charge for teas and coffees, but everyone seemed happy to pay.

“There was a free cake and biscuit with every donation.”
