Brielle Way in Sheerness blocked after car crashes with transporter

A woman has been cut out of her car after an accident in Sheerness.

Police were called at 9.30am to Brielle Way after reports a vehicle had been in a crash with a car transporter lorry near the docks.

The road is blocked from the Whiteway roundabout at Queenborough, near to the former Thamesteel site.

Two crews from Sheppey fire station have been called to the scene and have freed the woman using hydraulic cutting equipment.

They cut the roof off the blue Fiat Punto to get her out.

She was conscious and talking, but was said to be complaining of minor spinal injuries.
