12th Sheppey Scouts raise more than £400 from Christmas jumble and fair

A Christmas jumble and fair raised more than £400 for an Island youth group.

Members of the 12th Sheppey Scouts manned the stalls at Holy Trinity church hall, Trinity Road, Sheerness.

There was a tombola, raffle, jumble sale, face painting, a Pampered Chef kitchenware demonstration as well as bacon rolls and cakes, made by the Scouts themselves, for sale in aid of their group.

Scout leader Candy Waller said: “It was lovely because the weather was nice and of course I think the street market brought a few people in. There was another fair going on at the same time so I was quite surprised that we did so well.”
