Celebrity TV judges held court during a charity’s 15th birthday celebrations.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Len Goodman met staff and children during his visit to Demelza Hospice Care For Children.

He was joined at the Bobbing venue by ice skating gold medallist turned Dancing on Ice panellist, Robin Cousins.

The pair took part in a question-and-answer session with Mr Cousins admitting he would happily appear on Strictly, if asked.

Len also launched a new fundraising initiative, hanging the first leaves on the Goodman Celebration Tree.

The ornament is a chance for visitors to mark an anniversary, life, birthday or achievement by writing a message on a leaf.

Len said: “Money doesn’t grow on trees, but now for Demelza it can. I’m pleased to lend my support to this ‘money-tree’ campaign.

“Joking apart, it’s a great way to help Demelza make all the difference to some very specialchildren and families.”

Guests were also entertained by flautist and music therapist, Jane O’Neill.

At a cost of £50, supporters can buy an apple or leaf which will be added to the tree at the hospice for a year.
