A crash involving a car and a van closed the A249 this evening.
The accident happened just after 6pm on the Sheppey bound carriageway, which was closed at the Bobbing slip road.
Eyewitnesses spotted a Southern Water van facing the wrong way in the middle of the carriageway, near a red Ford Fiesta.
Police and ambulances were called.
The road reopened at about 7pm.
