A man has been arrested by armed police after reports of someone with a weapon.

Officers were called to Lower Road, Teynham, near Sittingbourne, this afternoon.

Patrols, including armed police officers, arrived at the property at around 3pm.

The man, aged in his 30s, was arrested and taken into custody.

A police spokesman said no weapon had been recovered and inquiries to establish the full circumstances were continuing.
