A controlled explosion has been carried out after a hand grenade was uncovered in a field near woodland.
The discovery was made in Brickfields, Lower Halstow, prompting police and the bomb squad to seal off the area.
Officers and bomb disposal experts were seen examining the grenade.
The military experts safely removed the bomb and blew it up after it was found at around 2.30pm yesterday.
