Van and two cars crash outside supermarket in Sittingbourne

An elderly man was cared for by firefighters and paramedics after crash involving two cars and a van at a supermarket in Sittingbourne.

Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service were at the scene of the accident outside Asda, in Mill Way, just before 5pm.

A witness described seeing a man being placed in a wheelchair and cared for by the emergency services.

A police spokesman for Kent Police said: "We were called at 4.55pm today regarding a collision on the Trinity Industrial Estate at Sittingbourne involving two cars and a van.

"Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service went to the scene where a man was checked by SECAS as a precaution."
