Police close Chilton Avenue in Sittingbourne because of two-car crash

Police closed a busy road in Sittingbourne after a crash.

The accident, involving two cars, happened in Chilton Avenue, between Bell Road and South Avenue, at about 3.30pm.

A police spokesman said: "Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where a woman was treated for injuries.

"She has been taken to a local hospital."

Police remained in Chilton Avenue while they waited for the vehicles to be recovered.
