Fire crews are tackling a huge blaze at a flat in a town centre.

Sittingbourne firefighters were called to the corner of Rock Road and West Street at 3.46pm to reports of a fire in a commercial property.

The blaze is in one of the flats above West Street Car Sales.

Initially there were reports of people trapped inside but everyone has since been accounted for.

Rock Road has been closed and there is traffic chaos in the area.
