The sixth annual craft fair held by the parish of St Mary and St Michael proved to be a big success.

More than 300 visitors made their way to St Mary’s Church, Park Road, Sittingbourne, on Saturday to browse and buy goods from 26 stalls.

Jams and chutneys, handmade soaps, cards, jewellery and stained glass were just some of the goods available. There was also a raffle with prizes donated by each of the stallholders.

Craft workshops for adults failed to attract any interest but those for children, which included biscuit decorating and card making, were over-subscribed and extra sessions were run.

The Cantiana Choir was there to give the final performance of its summer concert programme. Proceeds raised came to £850.

An indoor boot/table top sale will be held at St Mary’s Church on Saturday, November 9, between 10am and 12.30pm. The cost is £10. To book call 01795 423734.
