The search is on to reunite a war hero with their medal.

It was found in Sittingbourne on Monday, November 3, and officers believe it was stolen.

PC Paul Blundell said: "Inquiries are being made to find out who the war medal belongs to.

"It is likely it has a huge sentimental value to someone and it would be nice to reunite them with it in time for Remembrance Sunday."

The medal is one of a few items featured in a new lost property page on the Kent Police website called Is It Yours?
