South Avenue infant and junior school, Sittingbourne, celebrate their amalgamation by cutting a ribbon

It’s a new beginning for two town schools.

To celebrate South Avenue infant and junior school amalgamating and being taken under the wing of the Fulston Manor Academies Trust, a ribbon was cut.

Guests included MP Gordon Henderson, Cllr Sylvia Bennett, school governors Trevor Ottaway, Peter Crouch and Andrew Watton as well as Christine Locke from Diversity House and Rupert Prutton, Fulston Manor’s school improvement director.

Head teacher Diane Browning said: “We wanted to celebrate and mark the coming together of the infant and junior schools into South Avenue Primary School as this is a significant moment in the school’s history.”
