Open-air musical of Goldilocks and the Three Bears set to come to Sittingbourne

An open-air musical aimed to get the whole family outside is set to come to Sittingbourne.

If government guidance allows outdoor performances to go ahead, a production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears will be presented at The Woodstock Club in Broadoak Road.

It will run for 25 performances on Sundays and Bank Holidays between May 2 and June 13.

Producer Paul Gostling said: “The musical is 50 minutes long, in one-act, and is perfect for all ages. It is filled with catchy up-beat songs, infectious dance routines and a funny script.

“It’s the perfect musical treat for the whole family, to get everyone outside in the fresh air enjoying some live entertainment.”

He added: “This event will only go ahead if current government advice allows us to do so. If we are required to cancel due to Covid-19, all ticket holders will receive a full refund.

“If we can, we will go ahead whatever the weather, so we are advising ticket holders to check the weather forecast and come prepared - if it rains... we will get wet!”

Paul said there would be a number of measures in place to make sure the event was Covid-secure.

“Seating will be in single or same household-only bubbles of up to six people,” he said. “If there are more than six people in one household, they can spread their group over multiple bubbles, and all will be socially distanced from each other.”

He added: “Audience members are invited to bring their own picnics to enjoy on the grass as they watch the performance. They are also asked to bring their own seating to set up on the grass.”

Tickets cost £9.50 for adults (aged 16+) and £6.50 for children aged three to 15. Under threes go free.
