Kent police issue appeal for information after taxi driver is robbed in Asda car park in Mill Way, Sittingbourne

Detectives are appealing for information after a robbery at a supermarket in Sittingbourne.

A taxi driver says he picked up passengers at around 1am on Christmas Eve in St George’s Avenue, Sheerness.

They asked him to drive them to Asda in Mill Way but when he arrived in the car park he was allegedly threatened by two of them.

Fearing for his safety he got out of the Ford Transit. The vehicle was then driven away at around 2.30am.

The victim wasn’t injured in the incident but was left shaken.
