Seven men arrested after raid on Co-op in Gadby Road, Sittingbourne

Seven men have been arrested in connection with the theft of hundreds of pounds of goods from a Sittingbourne shop.

Items worth about £300 were taken from the Co-op in Gadby Road, Sittingbourne at about 4.30pm yesterday.

Police were called and stopped a vehicle on the A249 near Key Street and detained the men, who were all from London.

They are aged 28, 22, 27, 24, 32, 22 and 26 and a police spokesman said they remained in custody.
