Plans to make former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher the first woman statue outside Parliament could be abandoned.

The controversial figure was set to join 10 men in the iconic square outside of the Houses of Parliament with names such as Sir Winston Churchill and Nelson Mandela, but the proposal is now in doubt amid fears of vandalism.
