Man robbed by gang who approach him in South Avenue, Sittingbourne

Police are investigating a reported robbery in Sittingbourne on Friday night.

A man in his 20s was allegedly assaulted by a group of men who made off with his bank cards and other "low-value" items.

He suffered minor injuries in the incident which reportedly took place at about 8.30pm in South Avenue.

Officers carried out a search of the area, including the Avenue of Remembrance and Burley Road.

The victim has been spoken to by police officers and a Kent Police spokesman said inquiries were ongoing on Saturday to identity the offenders.
