Sittingbourne have unveiled SEVEN new signings but there is still room for more, says joint-boss Matt Wyatt.

Dan Keyte, Joe Lester, Curtis George and Beau Taylor have arrived from Whitstable, Brett Ince joins from Tunbridge Wells, Simba Nyaruwa comes from Margate and goalkeeper Adam Dunsdon was last with Bromley.

The Brickies have lost strikers Ryan Golding and Joe Taylor – with Golding joining Whitstable and Taylor set to move to Farnborough, but the majority of last season’s squad, including player-of-the-year Nick Dunsdon, have committed for another year.

Now, Wyatt and fellow boss Nick Davis are ready to run the rule over several players all wanting to join the club.

Wyatt said: “We’ve got trials coming up on June 21 and have had around 70 players apply to come along. We expect around half of them to attend and we still have spaces in the squad.

“We’ve got a squad of around 18 committed but we want to be going into the season with around 24 signed on.

“There are a lot of potential players in there (the applications) and that’s the way we have to go with the budget we’ve got. It’s going to be one of the lowest in the league again but we would rather have that and ensure we still have a club at the end of the season.”
