Officers are investigating after burglars broke into the home of a Second World War veteran and stole his medals and jewellery.
The thieves are believed to have entered the property at Regent Street in Rolvenden between 4pm on Tuesday and 8.30am on Wednesday this week.
They forced entry through a rear door and window and took cash, gold sovereigns, two gold watches, a gold pendant on a chain and military medals.
Police say five of the medals were awarded to the veteran who is in his 90s for his service during the Second World War, while three medals were from the First World War.
Witnesses or anyone with information can call the police on 01843 222289 and quote crime reference number ZY/47165/16.
