Man killed after Honda CBR 1100 motorbike crashes into pedestrian near Tenterden

A pensioner has died after being hit by a motorbike as he crossed a road, in a crash that left two others seriously injured.

Police are appealing for information after the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries when he was struck near Tenterden.

The victim – a man in his 70s – got off a bus in Tenterden Road, near to Woodlands Park, at 12.11pm yesterday and crossed the road.

A motorcyclist riding a black Honda CBR 1100 is then said to have collided with him.

Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorcyclist and his female passenger, both in their 20s, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating and urge anyone who witnessed the collision and has yet to speak to police, or who has dashcam footage, to contact them.
