If your new year's resolution is to hit the gym then your luck is in as a new centre has opened at Westwood Cross.
It opened its doors on Monday, December 18, with mayor Trevor Shonk cutting the ribbon.
It's located at Holmes way (Between Toby Carvery & Saga) and is a brand new 24-hour gym for the area, aiming to make health and fitness facilities accessible and affordable to everyone.
General manager Matt Finch, who has worked in the fitness industry for over 15 years, said: “After months of anticipation, we’re thrilled to finally open our doors and welcome our new members.
"Everyone in the area has been very welcoming and supportive of the new gym and I’m really excited to return the favour, ensuring The Gym has a positive impact on the community and those who live in it.”
“With the help of Samuel Boyton, Assistant General Manager, we’re have a range of fantastic classes designed to suit all abilities – and it’s all included in the low monthly price. We want to attract a whole new group of local people to The Gym.
"For example, those on low incomes, students, retired people and shift workers, as well as those who simply value the 24-hour opening and flexible membership terms.”
Nick Henwood, operations director of The Gym Group, added: “The Gym Group makes joining a gym easier than ever before.
"Just like the new gym in Thanet Westwood Cross, our gyms are open 24 hours a day and people can join at prices starting from just £10.99 a month with no contract.
"Our members tell us they love the quality of our high-spec equipment and the flexibility The Gym provides so we’re really looking forward to bringing this to Thanet Westwood Cross.”
The Gym offers monthly membership for £16.99.
