Police appeal after boy stabbed in Newington Road, Ramsgate

Two teenagers have been arrested after a boy was stabbed in the leg.

The 15-year-old victim was rushed to hospital following the stabbing, which happened in Newington Road, Ramsgate.

A 14-year-old boy from Ramsgate was arrested on suspicion of assault, while a 16-year-old girl, also from Ramsgate, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article.

Both have been released on bail, pending further enquiries, until September 1.

Police have this afternoon appealed for any witnesses to the stabbing – which happened at about 6.45pm on August 7 – to contact them.

A spokesman said: "Officers would like to thank those who have come forward with information already.

"Anyone who witnessed the assault and hasn’t spoken to police yet is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/142977/21."
