Appeal for dashcam footage after man and woman killed in crash on A299 Hengist Way

Officers are appealing for dashcam footage after a man and woman died in a crash involving a van on the A299 at Minster.

Police are seeking witnesses following the crash on the dual carriageway between Minster and Cliffsend at just after 9pm on Monday night.

It involved a white Mercedes Sprinter van, which was travelling in the direction of Ramsgate and a white Toyota Aygo.

The Aygo was stopped behind a blue Renault Clio, and the occupants were standing near the vehicle when they were hit.

They died shortly afterwards.

Officers investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Minster, Thanet, are appealing for information.

They were a 49-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, from the Broadstairs area.

There were reports of two people standing near the vehicle with hazard lights flashing before the time of the incident. This was not confirmed by Kent Police as it is believed it will form part of its investigation.

Anyone with dashcam footage of the vehicles seen before the collision is asked to come forward.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the accident, or the vehicles in the moments before the crash, which was near the former Manston Airport.
