Cannabis farm with more than 100 plants discovered near Tenterden

A cannabis cultivation of more than 100 plants has been uncovered following reports of suspected criminal activity.

Officers were called to Hastings Road in Rolvenden, near Tenterden, on Tuesday, February 6.

The cultivation was then found by police, which included around 180 cannabis plants with cabling suggesting the electrical supply at the property had been tampered with.

The scene was secured while experts made the electrical supply safe. The cultivation was dismantled and the cannabis plants were removed.

Officers searching the area also recovered a trailer containing various power tools, all of which are believed to have been stolen.

Two men, aged 49 and 50, have been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and handling stolen goods.

Both have been bailed pending further inquiries.
