Class A drugs and cash hoard seized after BMW stopped in Thanet

Two men are being questioned after being arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after police stopped a car in Cottington Link Road, Cliffsend, last night.

Officers from the Kent Police Rural Task Forceseized what are believed to be class A and class B drugs from the black BMW at around 7.40pm on Wednesday.

A 30-year-old man from Ramsgate and a 23-year-old man from Margate were detained on suspicion of being involved in the supply of controlled drugs. They remain in police custody.

Following further enquiries officers have also seized more than £7,000 in cash, four mobile phones and a BB gun from a property in Margate.
