A Belgian rescue helicopter landed at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate yesterday, believed to be transferring a patient from a cruise liner in the English Channel.

It's not clear at this stage why the person needed hospital treatment.

The cruise liner is thought to have been around 15 miles off of the coast of Ramsgate when a call was made for assistance and the patient was airlifted to hospital.
