RSPCA investigates: Dog discovered in bin bag in Dane Park, Margate next to teddy

RSPCA inspectors are investigating how a dog came to be dumped in a public park in a bin bag... next to a teddy bear.

A passer-by made the grim discovery of the body of the female, dark brindle Staffy in Dane Park, Margate yesterday.

The dog was found in the plastic bag along with a small beige teddy and now the RSPCA is urging anyone who knows where she may have come from to contact them as soon as possible.

Insp Claire Carter said: “This is a really upsetting incident. There is no obvious reason for this poor dog’s death and she has no collar or microchip so we do not know where she has come from.

“She was found in the undergrowth along with a black bin liner and a small child’s teddy.

“Sadly we think she may have been there for a number of days - possibly up to a week - and we would urge anyone that knows what happened to contact us.”
