Driver unhurt when traffic cone smashes into window of silver Peugeot opposite Leopold Street car park, Ramsgate

Witnesses are sought after a driver escaped injury when traffic cone smashed into the back window of his car in Ramsgate.

Police officers are appealing for information following the incident in Leopold Street, opposite the multi-storey car park on Saturday evening, February 8, at 7.40pm.

A heavy duty cone was reported as being left “embedded” in the rear panel window of the silver Peugeot Partner Tepee MPV.

Immediately after the incident, the driver heard what he has described as young people shouting: “Yes, bullseye.”

DC David Wells said: “Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage where a heavy duty traffic cone has ended up smashing the window of a moving vehicle. Fortunately no one was injured.”
