An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after a neighbour saved the day and extinguished a kitchen fire.
Fire crews were called to the incident at a house in Salisbury Avenue, Broadstairs, at around 8am this morning.
The fire, which had started on a kitchen hob, was put out before firefighters could reach the scene.
The woman was attended to by ambulance crews and taken to hospital.
