Caravan fire in Ramsgate

Firefighters have been tackling a blaze after a caravan caught light.

Two fire engines were sent to Preston Road in Ramsgate on Monday at 5.42pm.

It took the fire service just 40 minutes to extinguish the flames and nobody appears to have been hurt.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service added: “Two fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

“There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.”
