Fire crews were called to a bin store blaze at a block of flats last night.

The incident occured on Newcastle Hill in Ramsgate on the ground floor bin store at a 15-storey high rise building around 9pm.

Firefighters used a hose reel and positive pressure fan to tackle the fire, which caused smoke logging on the ground and first floor stairwell.

Three fire engines attended the scene, and crews wore breathing apparatus.
