Ramsgate: Jason Pitt charged with burglaries and assaulting a police officer

A man has appeared before a court accused of two burglaries and assaulting a police officer in Margate.

Jason Pitt, of Conynham Close, Ramsgate, is alleged to have broken into a house in Monkton on Tuesday (July 17) and stolen war medals.

He has also been charged with assaulting the officer in Margate on the same day.

Four days before, on Friday, it is alleged he burgled a house in Shottendane Road, Margate, fleeing with jewellery and a mobile phone.

The 45-year-old has also been charged with an attempted burglary at a property in Grange Road, Ramsgate, on Sunday.

He appeared via virtual link at Medway Magistrates' Court today and has been bailed to appear in court at a later date.
